For all you pilots, How can I make a radial engine sound more graspier, just add on more pipes?
If I took a Lycoming or Continental or even a jacobs radial is it possible to add more pipes to make that graspy beefy radial sound?
If the engine you would design is going to serve your purpose to take you up there.. then i would not recommend you to add more pipes on your radial engine.. just to make it sound graspier.. lol as that would be more like unairworthy or unsafe to fly with.
But, if you are using it for your car.. with added pipes on a radial engine your exhaust systems shall increase boost & with intercoolers modified the turbo rotary can make 200+ horsepower of output with a Lycoming engine & it would now surely sound more graspy & cool..
