I can make the following observations for you, you will have to be the final answer!
First, there are hundreds for sale and they are everywhere!
Second the average sale price of a 152 (1977 model specifically) 2/3's of them will fall between 15,200 and 23,750 so that puts this one on the higher end of the market.
Unless it is in your city or very nearby its not anything to get excited about. One you have no idea who did the "overhaul" or what type of an "overhaul" it might have been! Some are not done as well as others. Two the avionics are fairly standard, not really anything exciting. Three it has been run on AUTO FUEL which is allowable but then where do you find NON-ethanol Auto fuel these days? The STC only allows auto fuel without the 10-15% ethanol additives.
With 8915 hours it is exactly what the "average" 1977 will have, nearly all of them were trainers some were "put away wet" way too often, was this one?

Advice, take a deep breath, look around your local area and find a good solid aircraft that you can inspect and have a good pre-purchase done! Ebay isn't the place for NEW buyers! Check the Controller and Trade a Plane and ASO for more examples... This isn't the only 152 out there.

Is it a bad deal? NO ONE CAN TELL YOU without a close examination of THAT aircraft!
