What type of pressure rating is a standard 3/8" brass compression fitting?

Being used on a steel line, what are the upper limits of pressure that these fittings are designed for? Let me know where you get it from too please since just saying "2000 psi" doesn't tell me anything...

I have been a all around maint man for over 50 yrs and using a compression fitting will vary from use
brass compression fittings are usually rated 300 lb,s if your using it on , a water line yes, not for a/c not for air,
see what i mean on info?
some fittings are marked with a W.O.G tag that means its usable for Water Oil or Gas
