A Honeymoon Registry for a Valentines Honeymoon Trip

It is only a few weeks until Valentine’s Day and some couples are planning to get married or spend their honeymoon trip on that day. Many ideas through time have cropped up for celebrating ‘Hearts Day’ and one of them is the Honeymoon Registry.

A Honeymoon registry is a simple way to shun the formalities of china and silverwares. If you do not need new candlestick holders, bath towels or dozens of the same household appliances, a Honeymoon registry can help you get the gifts you want on your special occasion. Traditionally, the old honeymoon registry required you to register at a store which limited gift purchases only to that store’s stockpile.

Since the inception of the Internet, new ideas have been hatching online and one of them is the upgrading of Honeymoon Registry to online status.

Aside from listing the gift items you want, you can also make a list for a honeymoon trip. With the help of your honeymoon registry site, this trip can be broken down into various components which includes airfare, hotel accommodations and other arrangements you need to have the most romantic Valentines Honeymoon trip you have always desired. Your wedding guests can then help raise the needed funds you need for your Honeymoon trip. Thus, this will give your guests the opportunity to have a more personal gift-giving experience.

The great advantages you get in using a honeymoon wedding registry include:

* Guests may give cash gifts to particular items listed on your honeymoon registry – like fine dining in an expensive hotel, massages, romantic meals or scuba diving outings – making the gift giving experience more personal rather than simply handing you a check.

* A honeymoon registry is usually cheaper for your guests than traditional registries, wherein a guest usually pays sales, tax, shipping fees and the cost of wrapping.

* You have a record of all of your gifts in one location, making the thank you note process much easier.

* It is easy to let your guests know of your gift preference. Either you can include a note inside the wedding announcement with the honeymoon wedding registry information, or take advantage of e-mail notifications.

Your Valentines honeymoon can be one of the most memorable trips in your lifetime. Make the most out of it with an online honeymoon registry. Is It Really *That* Hard To Handle Dogs & Children?

Every day you see questions on here like "had a baby, dog acting up", "bad a baby, adopted a dog, nothing but problems", "had a baby, dog resents baby", etcetera etcetera etcetera.

I'm not a mother, and I don't plan to have children for another five or six years [should my uterus permit!], but I do have five dogs [and the pack...(somehow)...keeps growing], and I couldn't fathom having to rehome one or any of them because of conflicts between the child and the baby.

For those of you who balance children, dogs, work and a spouse, is it really as difficult as people cry and whine about?

[This question was inspired by a 12 year old Shetland mix at our shelter, perfectly behaved, quiet, intelligent, and did better than aced her behavioral and temperamental tests, but she was dumped because of a "new baby". Its unlikely that she'll ever see the outside of the shelter again without the dim hope of a rescue pulling her.]

No - its really not that difficult at all - in fact, I would say that my dogs made my raising well-balanced, responsible children who have grown up to be well-balanced, responsible adults much easier.

How better to teach a child how to behave respectfully than a dog who is quite clear in his mannerisms when he doesn't appreciate poor behavior?

How better to teach a child empathy and compassion for another beings feelings than a dog who clearly expresses them without guile or motivation?

How better to teach a child responsibility than an animal who will go hungry if not fed and thirsty if not watered (and yes, my 8 year old went without dinner because he did not feed the dogs - at 24 he remembers and appreciates that lesson).

How better to teach a child to clean up after themselves than to have a dog chew up their toys? "Mom! Shredder is in the dog's poop!" (yes, cleaning up your mutant ninja turtles is a good idea!)

How better to teach a child persistance and patience than to first allow a child to see you train a dog - and then to allow the child to train their own dog?

My dogs taught my children far more than I ever could - and in a straightforward and honest manner with no hidden agendas.

~~~~~~~~
As far as raising kids and dogs - for both, behavioral operant conditioning is the way to go ~ makes life a whole lot easier!
Thomson pipeline explosion beyond devastating
The morning after a gas pipeline explosion in Thomson last Monday, Police Chief Joe Nelson drove by the scene of devastation just off Stage Coach Road to see if he'd been dreaming.
