Apple has finally entered into the twenty first century with its latest creation: iPhone 4g. There are many reasons why we would like to celebrate Apple's latest innovation and these include the fact that it has finally introduced something completely outrageous, novel, fresh and original. I mean the first iPhone was a breakthrough in technology but it was pretty much the same thing up till 3gs.
The biggest achievement for Apple is that they have finally introduced the beauty of multi-tasking to this new machine, mind you this is something companies like Nokia, HTC etc accomplished a long while back. We would just like to be grateful and thank God or maybe, Steve Jobs, for having finally realized this. Now users can operate various programs all at once. This means you can browse the internet with your music playing in the background, now that's really a relief.
Another incredible feature of iPhone's latest model is its screen. The company claims that it is the toughest and most scratch resistant screen to date. According to the specifications given it is the same glass which is used in helicopter windshields and in high-speed trains as well. It is supposedly 20 times harder and 30 times more stiff than plastic. If you are an environmentally friendly being then you would take pleasure in knowing that this glass is also recyclable.
Moving on to the display of this device we note that it is sharper, brighter and crisper. The science behind this improvement is that it has a 960 by 640 backlit LCD screen with the highest resolution any phone has offered till now which is 326 pixels per inch. Now that's a truly remarkable feat.
The Apple A4 processor is another marked improvement by their company; it can perform powerful functions such as video editing, multitasking and FaceTime calling without draining the battery. It maximizes battery life without lagging behind. Also, the accelerometer combined with Gyro is able to ensure advanced motion sensing enabling it to carry out user acceleration, full 3D attitude and rotation rate. This new system also supports many more gestures than previous versions.
Also, iPhone has finally realized that there is a higher camera resolution than 3.15 megapixels. This is an additional reason for us to be grateful for all the creative input Steve Jobs has put into this breath-taking, super sonic piece of equipment. There are additional features such as the LED flash and the front camera which can be used for FaceTime calls.
This monster machine has other new functions and features such as iBook, double microphones, multi touch and the stainless steel band. Apple wins hands down with this fascinating addition to its products. Steve Job's brainchild is completely remarkable. Apple finally has something new to offer and FaceTime calling is an absolute stunner. We suggest you dig into your pockets or piggy banks if you want to be part of the magnificent experience the iPhone 4g has to offer. This is definitely not something you should miss out on.

Precession of Attitude Indicator....?
The DG precesses during flight and I have to periodically reset it to align with the magnetic compass.... what about the attitude indicator? Is there ever precession of the AI gyro? Likewise, what does the AI gyro use as it's level reference? Is it set up in such a way as to use the airframe as the level reference (that would make the most sense?) or does it just use the attitude it's at when it first spins up as the level reference (what if the plane is parked on a non-level surface....?)
The attitude indicator is designed to correct itself for precession. This is done with pendulous vanes. On the gyro there are four (or more) vanes attatched at the top, as the gyro tilts due to precession one of the vanes is pulled open by gravity (since it's not vertical anymore) when this vane opens it allows a small jet of air to force the gyro back toward it's upright vertical position. This allows the insrument to use gravity as a reference to continuously right itself. It also can cause errors. When your in a turn the forces cause the attitude indicator to try to 'right' itself to the turn attitude. You can see this by executing a 180 degree turn then roll out level. The attitude indicator will initially show a slight turn in the opposite direction but it will correct itself after several seconds.
