All these improvements are happening in just a very short span with every bit of technology being utilized.

Getting near the core of these improvements, the US military does not just after the modernization of their weapons, warplanes, warships, and tanks but as well as their tactics and gadgets. Today, US hold the most advanced weaponry and defense system in the world. They have one of the biggest forces in the world in terms of soldier count. In terms of gadgets, the US employs the most advanced communicating devices and other tools. Even the soldiers' uniforms are engineered so to adapt easily to the environment the soldiers are exposed to.

Today there are 5 patterns that are actively used by the US military. One is the ACU or the Army Combat Uniform. This is a digital camo suit that is composed of tan, OD green and gray colors. This has been used in Iraq and will be replaced by the Multicam to be used in Afghanistan. The Marines use the digital woodland and desert MARPAT. The NWU or the Nave Working Uniform is composed of darker shades of the ACU. The Air Force employs the ABU or the Airman Battle Uniform composed of different tigerstripe patterns in gray shades.

These uniforms are said to have camouflage effect and are made with special fabric to withstand the harsh military environment. Many engineers in the military are still developing high-end battle dresses that are very efficient.

New Navy Camouflage Uniforms?

I have seen the new Navy Camo on various occasions, and I just want to know why are they making it? Also, why are they making it so ugly?

As Active Duty USAF I saw the progression of the ABU (Airman Battle Uniform). However, the black boots with the bright shade of blue look horrible. Why are they issuing these? They were fine with sporting the Air Force desert camo.

Tell me about it USA - those are awful...
Anyway on to your question, they are issuing them because have you seen the Desert Camo's in the Ships, those men stick out like a sore thumb!
Now for the serious side, to bring them "in line" with the other services I believe is what they are saying!
